Built4Life at the launch of FUNDARA

Members of Built4Life attended the launch of FUNDARA, the new Cultural Foundation of Architects of Aragón, promoted by the Official Association of Architects of Aragón (COAA), on 17 September in Zaragoza.

Belinda López-Mesa, member of Built4Life and Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture at the University of Zaragoza, attended the institutional and media presentation held in the morning. The event provided an opportunity for exchange between architecture schools in Zaragoza and Roberto Gascón, President of the Zaragoza Branch of the COAA, as captured in the accompanying photograph. In the evening, Built4Life members Lucía Pérez and Sofía Palacios joined Belinda López-Mesa for the public launch of the Foundation.

FUNDARA has been created to promote and disseminate architectural culture and to strengthen the connections between architecture, society and contemporary cultural debate. The launch included the presentation of the Foundation’s first magazine and the opening of PATIO, an immersive installation by Penique Productions at the Palacio de los Torrero, headquarters of the COAA.

The creation of FUNDARA opens up a new space for exchange between professional practice, academia and society, closely connected with Built4Life’s commitment to research, education and knowledge transfer around the built environment.
