RuralREGEN book published on energy renovation in rural Spain

On 15 November 2022, the RuralREGEN project was completed with the publication of RuralREGEN. Study on the State of Energy Renovation of Housing in Rural Areas in Spain: Diagnosis, Barriers and Solutions.

Developed through collaboration between ECODES and the University of Zaragoza, the study analyses the characteristics of rural housing, its energy renovation needs and potential, and the main barriers to implementation, providing recommendations for renovation strategies better adapted to rural territories.

The research was carried out within an ECODES project supported by the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), which included the subcontracting of the University of Zaragoza research group now known as Built4Life Lab.
