The work includes the analysis of alternative construction systems, building components, and material specifications to determine the most suitable solutions from both technical and economic perspectives. Special attention is given to meeting the requirements established by current building codes and regulatory frameworks related to energy performance, acoustic confort, fire protection, habitability, durability, and sustainability.
In addition to regulatory compliance, the project promotes the adoption of recognized best construction practices to enhance buildability, quality, long-term performance, and operational reliability. Through a systematic assessment of design alternatives, the research seeks to support informed decision-making during the architectural design process, contributing to more efficient, resilient, and economically viable building projects.
