The purpose of this research contract is to develop a comprehensive monitoring and assessment study of indoor environmental quality in residential buildings through the deployment of environmental sensors and data acquisition systems capable of continuously measuring key indoor air quality and comfort parameters.
The research will focus on the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data related to carbon dioxide (CO₂), particulate matter (PM1.0 and PM2.5), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), radon concentration, indoor air temperature, and relative humidity. These parameters will be used to characterize real operating conditions within dwellings and to evaluate indoor environmental quality from health, comfort, and building performance perspectives.
