Alicia Borja Pellicena is PhD candidate under a predoctoral fellowship at the Built4Life Lab, University of Zaragoza (Spain).

She holds a Bachelor’s degree (2019) and a Master’s degree (2021) in Architecture from the University of Zaragoza (Spain), as well as postgraduate studies (2023) in Image and Communication of Architecture from the University of Málaga (Spain). She gained professional experience in architectural firms from the completion of her Master’s degree until the beginning of her research work at the University of Zaragoza in 2025.

Research focus: Her research explores building renovation and circularity, with particular interest in evaluating the environmental and social benefits of circular approaches in the architectural refurbishment of heritage-listed buildings.
