Marta Gómez Gil

Dr. Marta Gómez Gil is Assistant Professor (interim) of Architectural Construction at the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and researcher (collaborating member) at the Built4Life Lab.
She holds a BSc and MSc in Architecture from the University of Zaragoza (Spain, 2015 and 2017). After completing her master’s degree, she worked in Portugal as an architect before returning to Spain to begin her doctoral studies in 2021.
During her PhD, she has undertaken international research stays at the Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and the University of Coimbra (Portugal), and participated in a short-term teaching mobility at the School of Architecture, University of Porto (Portugal). She is currently pursuing an inter-university Master’s degree in Circular Economy.
Research focus: Her research explores the decarbonisation of the built environment through building renovation, addressing this challenge from multiple perspectives: the digitalisation of the construction sector, the integration of bioeconomy and circular economy principles, and the use of performance indicators to monitor progress towards low-carbon goals.
